Holy Orders:  In the Sacrament of Holy Orders, or ordination, the priest being ordained vows to lead other Catholics by bringing them the sacraments (especially the Eucharist), by proclaiming the Gospel, and by providing other means to holiness.

Anointing of the Sick:  The sacrament of Anointing of the Sick, formerly known as Last Rites or Extreme Unction, is a ritual of healing appropriate not only to physical but also mental and spiritual illness.  Please contact staff at the rectory at 301-942-2333 to arrange a time for this sacrament to be administered.

Funeral Rite:  Although this does not fall under the rubric of Sacrament,  the Church assigns much importance to the burial of loved ones, both from the perspective of those who are grieving and from that of the transition of the departed from earthly life to the next.  To arrange for a funeral at Holy Redeemer, please contact Fr. Mark Hughes or Fr. Ryan Pineda at 301-942-2333.
